Entirely new possibilities through CGI
Of course, hardly any high-quality wine bottles are made of clear glass.
But why I have chosen a clear glass bottle to open this offer is because it demonstrates the high precision of computer-generated imaging. CGI controls the physics of light and is not controlled by the physics of light.
As a result, your product will look strikingly better in the online store, details are brought out almost cinematographically. The resulting possibilities are limitless. The photographic scope makes perspectives possible that are difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional photography. And the integration of CGI into moving image content of all kinds is – if you like – a new universe of its own for the visual self-portrayal of wineries.
Take the step from a simple product photo to an expressive portrait of your product with our CGI photography.

Precision as a way to beauty
As it turned out, the digital animations as 3D models are so much closer to reality than most traditional photographers‘ bottle photos. This encouraged me to go one step further. I love to incorporate a small, shimmering sheen of poetry into my work. To amplify reality a tiny bit, to optimize, to focus, to give the object even more impact, even more character, personality, beauty. To direct the viewer’s gaze. To gently draw their attention to details. To reveal hidden beauties that are otherwise often easily overlooked. The metallic gold reflection on Cathiard’s label is not actually convex. But it is this subtly optimized element in the almost exaggeratedly cinematic image that gives the object its magic. CGI is a good way to achieve this optimization. Advertising photography has been using these possibilities for many years. Only advertising photography in the wine industry does not use it. We have to change that!
The technical possibilities of CGI surpass the possibilities of traditional product photography in the studio many times over. This begins with the use of lenses and their effect on the image of the object and extends to the possibilities of influencing the physics of light to suit the subject in a way that is not possible in the reality of a photographer’s life. But let’s not talk about rocket science. What counts in the end is the captivating beauty of the finished image. You will see that there is such a thing as the perfect photo for the online store. And there is the overwhelming beauty of the unique soloists that I create from your products. These three sample images speak a clear language. A language of love for wine and its appearance. A language that your customers also understand. And that’s what matters! Using visual stories to reach customers emotionally and encourage them to buy your wine.

Each model is precisely measured and modeled by hand. I do exactly the same with the label and the capsule. In the world of CGI, the rule is: imperfection is digital perfection. This means that irregularities in surfaces, not quite clean cut edges of the paper etc. are discreetly incorporated into the digital models. Light reflections, intentional or unintentional, can also be individually dosed according to the aesthetic perception of our customers.
Computer-generated images are still considered expensive. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Although the results of my work offer far more application possibilities, my prices are based on traditional studio photography: You pay the same, but get a lot more. For the price of a traditional studio shoot, you get more precise, cleaner product images than the vast majority of studio photography (not even factoring in the unique selling point).
